THROUGH THE EYES OF THE HORSE

A Journey Into Reconnection

September 20-22, 2019

This 3-day transformative retreat is specially created during the Autumnal Equinox for people seeking to awaken and remember their innate connection to the more-than-human world. Working with horses and nature, you will be invited to explore connecting to your inner wildness. Through nature immersion, sensory awareness, drum journeying, and ritual, you will learn to communicate with your other-than-human kin. You will experience your organic and healing relationship with the forces of nature, awakening your sense of what it means to be a human in this world.

This workshop is experiential and includes both group work and time in solitude in nature. Individual experiences will be processed in council with the intent of supporting integration and learning.

By the end of our time together, you will deepen your understanding of the healing and restorative qualities of nature, rekindle your relationship with All Our Relations, and awaken your connection to the Earth.

As a participant in Through the Eyes of the Horse: A Journey Into Reconnection, you will experience:

  • Working with Horse as a guide to reconnection
  • Inter-species communication through nature-based awareness practices and drum journeying
  • An exploration of the Fall Shield of Human Nature through medicine wheel teachings and an Autumnal Equinox medicine walk
  • Nature-based ceremony and ritual

Note: While there will be lots of time spent outdoors, the level of physical activity will not exceed the capabilities of most people. All work with horses will be done from the ground and no previous experience is necessary.
