Ravenwood Forest Camp and the Wilderness of Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island is situated on the west coast of Canada, in the province of British Columbia, just north of Washington State, USA. Stretching approximately 450 kilometers (270 miles) from southeast to northwest, Vancouver Island is flanked by the rugged and breathtaking coastlines of the Strait of Georgia and the Juan de Fuca Strait.
.
'The Island', as locals refer to it, is one of the world's most biologically diverse regions and is a world-renowned travel destination for wilderness enthusiasts. Vancouver Island also boasts the mildest climate in Canada. The summer months are reliably warm and sunny with daytime temperatures reaching average highs in the mid 20's Celsius (70 to 80 Fahrenheit) and evenings remaining refreshingly cool. In winter, Vancouver Island is the most temperate region in British Columbia, with temperatures just above 0 degrees Celsius (32 Fahrenheit). Its pristine rainforests, clear mountain streams, and wild and ever-changing Pacific coastline make Vancouver Island the perfect outdoor destination.

From Ravenwood Forest Camp, explore Vancouver Island's most spectacular backcountry and marine wilderness areas -pristine rainforests, clear mountain streams, rivers, and lakes, and a wild, rugged, and ever-changing Pacific coastline. Quite simply, there is no other destination that can compare with the range of outdoor recreation opportunities that Vancouver Island offers.
